Careers Education at Holsworthy Community College
At Holsworthy Community College, we believe that high-quality careers education is essential to helping students make informed, confident decisions about their future. We are committed to providing impartial guidance, raising aspirations, and ensuring every student understands the full range of opportunities available to them — whether that’s further education, apprenticeships, or entering the workforce.
Our Career Calendar

Our Approach
We follow the Gatsby Benchmarks, a nationally recognised framework for excellent careers provision. These eight benchmarks guide our careers programme and ensure that every student receives meaningful encounters with employers, experiences of the workplace, and personal guidance tailored to their needs.

CSW Post-16 Survey Results
We regularly review the destinations of our students after Year 11 to ensure our careers programme is supporting their aspirations and needs. The CSW Post-16 Survey provides valuable insight into the choices our students make, including further education, apprenticeships, and employment.
If you are a parent, carer, or local business and would like to support our careers education, we’d love to hear from you. Opportunities to get involved include:
- Work experience placements
- Work shadowing
- Careers workshops
- Mock interviews
Give an Hour
We invite local professionals and business owners to give an hour of their time to inspire the next generation. By sharing your career journey and industry insights, you can help students explore new possibilities and make informed choices about their future.
Whether you work for or own a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME), your experience could be the spark that changes a student’s life.
