Radicalisation
Preventing Radicalisation and Extremism
At Holsworthy Community College, we are committed to protecting students from all forms of radicalisation and extremism.
We promote a school culture based on respect, tolerance, and democracy, where every student feels safe, valued, and free to express themselves.
Our role is to help young people build the knowledge and resilience they need to challenge extremist views and make positive choices for their future.
We follow the Government’s Prevent Duty guidance, which means:
-
Identifying and supporting students who may be vulnerable to extremist influences.
-
Educating pupils about online and social influences that could lead to harm.
-
Working closely with families, the community, and local safeguarding partners to keep our students safe.
